Premium Payment Scheme confirmed 21/07/2011

The Department of Energy & Climate Change has today confirmed the Premium Payment Scheme to help towards the cost of installing renewable heating systems.  The scheme will be run by the Energy Saving Trust and an information line and website will be set up from today, householders can call 0800512012 or visit  www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/RHPP

Householders can apply from 1st August 2011 however they will need to ensure they have basic energy efficiency measures in place already. The scheme will focus on households not heated by mains gas! Grants will be available on a first come first served basis.

Details of Grants:

Ground Source Heat Pump – £1250 grant (for homes without mains gas)

Biomass Boiler – £950 grant (for homes without mains gas)

Airsource Heat Pump – £850 grant (for homes without mains gas)

Solar Themal Panels – £300 grant (available to all households regardless of fuel type)
