The sun radiates enormous amounts of energy to the earth, this radiation is similar to the output of 1000 power stations. Many people believe that solar panels only work in summer, however this free energy is available all year round. Solar collectors operate not just with direct sunlight but diffused sunlight so they even work on cloudy days.

There are two types of solar technologies, Solar Thermal and Solar PV (Photovoltaic), both systems use panels installed onto the roof for the energy harvesting.

On average solar thermal collectors can provide up to 70% of your hot water needs; and a 1kW Solar PV system will produce 830kW of electricity per year for free!!
