Solar Thermal | Flat Plate Systems

We offer 2 types of thermal collectors; flat plates & vacuum tubes. Flat plates can be mounted using in-roof, on-roof and flat roof (A frame) installations, however vacuum tubes cannot be fitted in in-roof installations.

In-Roof With in-roof installations the solar panel is mounted straight onto the roof batterns and is tiled into the roof to give a weather tight installation maintaining the integrity of the roof. This installation typically takes place on new build properties.
On-Roof On roof installation designed for fitting to existing properties, where roof structure does not need to be disturbed. The solar panels are mounted on top of the existing roof tiles, on brackets that penetrate through the roof and are bolted to the rafters to ensure secure fixing. A variety of fixing brackets is available to suit all types of roof tiles including concrete, slate, clay peg etc.
Flat roof – A frame To ensure best efficiency solar panels need to be fixed at an optimal angle of between 30-40o, to overcome flat roof situations where this angle is not naturally available A-frames can be used to fix panels to.
