Solar Thermal | Vacuum Tubes

Solar Thermal On-Roof Solar Tube PanelUFW offers 2 models of Thermomax solar vacuum collectors; DF100 & HP200. The tube is made from glass with unique properties that gives it good transmissibility with low reflection losses and good durability. High absorption of solar energy is achieved by using an absorber. By creating a vacuum of 10-6 bar within the tube, thermal losses caused by conduction and convection are eliminated. This enables the collector to be very effective in utilising low amounts of radiation.

Benefits of vacuum collectors
• Unique plug & play deign provides fast & simple installation
• Designed for flexible building integration- can be installed on flat roofs, sloping roofs or facades.
• No need for heavy lifting equipment as tubes can be carried onto the roof individually.
• Rapid conductivity & transfer of energy into heat
• Up to 30% more effective than conventional flat plate
• Thermally limited therefore no overheating or stagnation of system. (HP200 System)
• Tubes can be replaced without draining the system

Solar Controllers & Pump Stations

Solar controllers monitor and display the amount of solar power produced by the system on a daily and cumulative basis. They automatically manage the operation of the solar thermal system, monitoring the temperature in both collector and cylinder, they operate the circulating pump and will also stop the pump if the temperature in the collector exceeds the maximum set or if the cylinder has reached the required temperature.
